Comic-Con 2018 creative professional badge registration is now closed. Creative professional badges will be shipped to professionals approximately 3 - 4 weeks before Preview Night, July 18, 2018.
If you have been approved as a trade professional, or if your Comic-Con 2018 trade professional verification status is NOT DUE, click here to register for your badge now. Trade professional badge registration will close on July 10, 2018. All trade professional badges registered after May 14, 2018 will be picked up onsite.
All creative and trade professional badges registered prior to May 14, 2018 will be shipped in advance. All professional and professional guest badges will be shipped to the address on file in your Comic-Con Member ID account. The last day to change your address for advance shipping is May 14, 2018.

All guests of professionals must have their own valid and confirmed Comic-Con Member ID. You may not register for or purchase a guest badge without submitting their Member ID.  A Comic-Con Member ID is free and you only need to sign up once! We encourage you to have your guest sign up for a Member ID as soon as possible. Remember, you will not be able to register a guest during professional badge registration without submitting his or her Member ID.

To receive information from our professional registration department, please sign in to your Member ID account and click the “OPT-OUTS” option on the “My Account” tab. Make sure you have not checked the “Email Opt-Out” box. If you have selected to opt out of email notifications from Comic-Con International, you will not be notified of important registration updates.

To determine your professional verification status, log in to your Comic-Con Member ID account here and select the "Professionals" tab. If you are a returning professional, your member class will be "Professional" and your professional verification status will be "DUE" or "NOT DUE" (see examples to the left). If you are a first-time professional applicant, no professional verification status will be displayed and you will not be eligible for professional badge registration.

Comic-Con International's professional registration program has two badge categories:

The Creative Professional Badge

The creative professional badge is a complimentary Comic-Con badge offered to professionals who take an active role in the creation, design, writing, editing, or production of comics, animation, films, books, video games, or toys. Job titles might include writer, artist, penciller, inker, colorist, letterer, animator, designer, sculptor, editor, publisher, producer, actor, etc. This category includes retired career professionals from comics and related popular arts field. The creative professional badge is also extended to those responsible for the content of websites that promote the historic or ongoing contribution of comics to art or society.

The Trade Professional Badge

The trade professional badge is offered to agents, publicists, managers, executives, marketing, sales, business development, advertising, legal representatives, and other industry professionals who need to attend the convention for business reasons. Comic-Con trade professional badges are available for purchase to those who do not qualify as a creative professional. WonderCon Anaheim trade professional badges are complimentary. 

Unfortunately, we cannot extend complimentary professional badges to support staff, including sales, marketing, accounting, managers, testers, analysts, administrative staff, IT, facilities, operations, and others who are not directly involved in the creative process.

Comic-Con Professional Terms & Conditions
There will be NO onsite registration. The only way to apply for a professional badge is to submit a "Comic-Con and WonderCon Application for Professionals" and verification materials before the deadline date, and be approved by Comic-Con International. Professionals must provide verification materials demonstrating their continued qualifying work in the industry every three years.
Professional badges and professional guest badges are limited and not all applicants who meet the guidelines can be accommodated. Professional verification and approval is ultimately at the discretion of Comic-Con International. Badges for both professionals and guests are limited in quantity and will reach capacity quickly. Each creative professional may have the opportunity to register for one complimentary guest and one additional paid guest until capacity for each category is reached.  Trade professionals may purchase one guest badge, until capacity is reached. Guest badges in each category (paid or complimentary) are limited, and not all guests can be accommodated. Be sure to register your guests at the same time you register your own badge, as guest badges may not be available at a later date. Paid professional and trade professional guest badges are $276 each. All professional guests (paid and complimentary) must have their own personal and confirmed Comic-Con Member ID. You may not register a guest unless they have their own Comic-Con Member ID. 
Please keep in mind that a professional badge is a courtesy and is non-transferable. You may not transfer or sell your professional badge. A professional badge has no monetary value and you are not entitled to a refund of any amount for your complimentary professional badge. Duplicate badges of any type are not allowed. A professional or professional guest badge does not qualify you to be eligible for attendee Returning Registration. The deadline to request a professional badge purchase refund is May 14, 2018.
