WonderCon Anaheim 2018 PRESS BADGE REGISTRATION is now OPEN! If your current press verification status is NOT DUE, select the “Press” tab in your Comic-Con Member ID account to register. The deadline to register for a press badge is FEBRUARY 16, 2018.
WonderCon Anaheim 2018 press badges will be shipped in advance! Your press badge will be sent to the shipping address on file in your Comic-Con Member ID account as of February 20, 2018. This is the last day to change your badge shipping address on your Member ID account.

IMPORTANT:  This press application period, and badge registration, is for WonderCon Anaheim 2018 ONLY.

Click here to create your Comic-Con Member ID. A Member ID is free and available to all adults and juniors (ages 13 to 17) with a valid email address.

If you have already submitted a press application and have been approved by WonderCon Anaheim your member class will automatically change to a press member class. You do not need to sign up for a new Member ID if you already have one.

To be considered for a WonderCon Anaheim 2018 press badge, carefully read the PDF and submit the online press application form by FRIDAY, February 9, 2018. Applications submitted without the required supporting verification materials will not be considered.

Yes you may apply as an outlet/company, but each member from your outlet/company must submit the online press application form by FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 9, 2018. We will review and process all of your outlet’s submitted applications once we receive the total amount indicated on the online application. For example, if you indicate that there are 4 members applying from the outlet, we will review and process the applications once all 4 applications have been received. We recommend submitting all applications from your outlet within the same week as it may delay the review of your outlet’s applications.

No. WonderCon Anaheim is unable to accept any faxed or emailed applications and verification materials. Press applications must be submitted through the online “WonderCon Anaheim 2018 Press Application.” For the link to the online press application, please click here to review the “WonderCon Anaheim 2018 Press Guidelines” PDF.

As a nonprofit organization, WonderCon Anaheim/Comic-Con International is able to provide a complimentary press badge to individuals who meet the published guidelines and who provide verification materials and proof of employment with qualified job titles.

WonderCon Anaheim requires that all press resubmit verification materials at least every two years, unless requested earlier by WonderCon Anaheim. Additionally, returning press who need to update their company/outlet information must submit an application for review before the deadline, regardless if they are DUE or NOT DUE. Approved freelance applicants will only be valid for the year applying.

If you cannot, or choose not to, provide the required verification materials, we suggest you purchase a badge through attendee registration. Your press application cannot be processed if you do not provide verification of your work. Listing your outlet information on your application is not considered verification. You must submit qualifying verification materials to support the company listed on your application.

Please allow 5 - 6 weeks for processing and review. All applications are processed in the order in which they are received. If you do not receive a response within 5 - 6 weeks, please forward your “WonderCon Anaheim 2018 Application Received” email to pressreg@comic-con.org. Make sure to include your last name, Comic-Con Member ID, and the date your application was submitted.

Simply log in to your Comic-Con Member ID account, select the “Press” tab, and follow the instructions to register for your WonderCon Anaheim press badge. Once you have successfully registered for your WonderCon Anaheim 2018 press badge, you will be able to download your WonderCon Anaheim 2018 “Press Badge Confirmation”. The deadline to register for a press badge is February 16, 2018.

WonderCon Anaheim 2018 press badge registration is now open for all press with a verification status of NOT DUE. Simply log in to your Comic-Con Member ID account, select the “Press” tab, and follow the directions to register for your WonderCon Anaheim 2018 press badge. The deadline to register for a press badge is February 16, 2018.

If your current press verification status is DUE or you are a first-time applicant, follow the application instructions in the “WonderCon Anaheim 2018 Press Guidelines” PDF and submit your application and verification materials before the February 9, 2018 deadline. If you are approved, your status will change to NOT DUE and you may register by following the instructions above.

No. A WonderCon Anaheim press badge is complimentary and therefore we cannot provide you with a plus-one, guest, or child badge.

No. Press badge registration is a courtesy and your WonderCon Anaheim press badge is non-transferable. You may not transfer or sell your WonderCon Anaheim press badge.

Returning press who need to update their Comic-Con Member ID company/outlet information must submit a press application for review, during the press application period, before their Comic-Con Member ID account can be updated. The deadline to submit a press application is February 9, 2018.

If you miss the February 9, 2018 deadline, you may bring a copy of your completed online application and verification materials to the Press Registration area in the Anaheim Convention Center during normal convention hours for review. However, there is no guarantee that you will be approved for a WonderCon Anaheim press badge. Please keep in mind that WonderCon Anaheim will not be selling attendee badges onsite this year, so if you are not approved as press onsite, you will not have the option to purchase a badge. We strongly encourage you to apply as press online prior to the deadline.

A WonderCon Anaheim press badge does not give you early access, special access, or assigned seating to any of our panels or programming rooms. You must wait in the same line as the general attendees.

Any video taping/filming/recording of any matter that will be used for commercial purposes (not news) must first obtain written permission from WonderCon Anaheim as well permission from panel participants. Live streaming at WonderCon Anaheim and/or posting more than 15 minutes of a panel is not permitted without prior written consent from WonderCon Anaheim. Please email pr@comic-con.org with detailed information regarding your interest to record at WonderCon Anaheim and to obtain the appropriate consents.
